Big congratulations to American Diabetes Month partner Larry King, who was this year’s honoree at the Friars Club Testimonial Dinner. King, who lives with type 2 diabetes, was honored by fellow journalists, actors and even rock stars on Monday night, which coincidentally was World Diabetes Day.
Our very own National Youth Advocate, Madi Dodge, was there to capture all of the pre-dinner excitement on the red carpet and spent the evening interviewing celebrities such as Katie Couric, Joan Rivers and America’s Got Talent winner Landau Murray about their connection to the disease. She even had the opportunity to turn the table on Larry and ask him a few questions.
Having the chance to chat with celebrities about a disease she advocates for daily made for an unforgettable evening for 16-year-old Madi, who called it the “most fun night ever!”
Check out her interviews and don’t forget to help Larry, Madi and the Association Stop Diabetes!
