Introducing “No Más Diabetes”!

hispanic-familyWe’re proud to announce the launch of No Más Diabetes, the Spanish-language counterpart to the American Diabetes Association’s flagship blog, Diabetes Stops Here. With this new platform, behind-the-scenes stories from the Stop Diabetes® movement will now be available to Spanish-speaking audiences, helping the Association reach the important Latino community.

Diabetes is an urgent health problem among Latinos, as their rate of diabetes is 11.8 percent, almost double that of non-Latino whites. Latino Americans need to Stop Diabetes for themselves, for their families and for generations to come, and we hope that No Más Diabetes will become a place for them to share, learn, act and give.

“Diabetes Stops Here: A Blog about Diabetes and Those Inspired to Stop it” was launched in October 2010 to give a face and a voice to a disease that kills more people each year than breast cancer and AIDS combined. From news and research to lifestyle advice and stories of inspiration, the blog is where the Association’s mission comes to life, providing the nearly 26 million Americans with diabetes and the 79 million at risk of developing it yet another way to engage with the organization.

We also invite you to follow the American Diabetes Association in Spanish on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/AsocAmericanaDiabetes) and on our brand-new Twitter account (@AmerDiabetesESP).
