2012 National Service Achievement Awards Nominations Process Now Open!
One of the greatest joys of being a part of the leadership of the American Diabetes Association is the chance to recognize the outstanding contributions that are made throughout the year by our wonderful volunteers. There are hundreds of individuals, groups and organizations across the country who have made it their priority to help in our mission to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
That is why it is important for you to be aware that beginning today, you can submit your nominee for any one of our seven National Service Achievement Awards—all designed to recognize those who have gone a step above in helping to take back the power that diabetes steals from us.
We urge you to visit the new National Achievement Awards website to learn more about each of the seven awards that recognize achievements in some of the following areas:
- Lifetime service in the cause of diabetes
- Diabetes research funding
- Public policy
- Volunteer service
- Health promotion and awareness
So, give it some thought. Who do you know that deserves to have their passion and dedication recognized? Who among us is focused on game-changing success in growing the movement to Stop Diabetes®?
This important call for nominations will be open until June 20, giving you nearly six weeks to take the important step of putting forth your nominee(s) for the 2012 National Service Achievement Awards. We look forward to your submissions.
