Giving Thanks to our Corporate Supporters this American Diabetes Month

Yesterday officially kicked off American Diabetes Month® , which makes this a perfect time to thank our corporate supporters for joining us to raise awareness and change the future of diabetes!

As presenting sponsor of this year’s American Diabetes Month “A Day in the Life of Diabetes” campaign, CVS/pharmacy is donating $1 to the Association for every photo uploaded to the mosaic on our Facebook page, up to $25,000. In addition, when you join their ExtraCare Advantage for Diabetes savings program, CVS/pharmacy will provide you with a $5 off coupon that can be used for any healthcare item in the store, as well as photo products.

Visit your local Walgreens during November and show your support of the Stop Diabetes movement by purchasing a “Way to Well” pin-up for $1. One hundred percent of your contribution will support diabetes research and community programs that help consumers lower their risk for type 2 diabetes. Last year’s campaign raised more than $1 million, and with your help, we can surpass that number. In addition, when you purchase select Boost products at Walgreens, a donation will be made to the Association, up to $20,000. Rite Aid is once again supporting American Diabetes Month in their stores all across the country by selling scannable Stop Diabetes pin-ups. When you purchase a pin-up for $1, you will not only be supporting the Association, but you will also receive additional coupons that can result in over $8 worth of savings! Drawing inspiration and excitement from “The Biggest Loser” television show, the Biggest Loser Resorts provide a proven wellness program that encourages and empowers people from all walks of life to lose weight and achieve balance in their lives through a combination of fitness, nutrition, education, relaxation and community camaraderie. Now you can be a part of the experience and help support the Association at the same time.

In support of American Diabetes Month, the Biggest Loser Resorts will donate $200 to the Association for each guest stay booked at one of their resorts located in Ivins, Utah; Malibu, Calif.; or Niagara Falls/Buffalo, N.Y., during the month of November. In addition to the company’s minimum financial commitment of $25,000, they will also help our efforts to raise awareness about diabetes by distributing educational materials to guests. Catherines is once again supporting our efforts to Stop Diabetes by holding a “Round Up” campaign in all of their stores during November. When you check out, a Catherines associate will ask if you want to “round up” the amount of your purchase. One hundred percent of the “round up” monies are donated to the Association.
