To help spread the word, the American Diabetes Association will host a one-hour Twitter party on healthy cooking tips, easy ingredient swaps, recipe ideas and more. Joining the chat will be special guest Robyn Webb, MS, Diabetes Forecast magazine food editor and award-winning cookbook author and culinary instructor.

Just follow @AmDiabetesAssn and @RobynWebb and use #AmericaGetsCooking on Twitter, Thursday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. ET.

At the end of the Twitter chat, special guest Robyn Webb will select her favorite #AmericaGetsCooking tweets from three (3) individual participants—the funnier or more creative, the better! Each winner will receive 12 digital issues of Diabetes Forecast magazine, the Diabetes Forecast app, as well as the “anytime, anywhere” digital version that you can access via your smartphone, tablet or computer.

To be eligible, you must tweet at least one question or comment using the hashtag #AmericaGetsCooking during the Twitter chat, 2 to 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014. While you may tweet as much as you like, each participant is only eligible to receive one (1) prize.

Winners will be notified via Twitter and asked to provide their names, mailing addresses and email addresses via Twitter Direct Message. American Diabetes Association staff and their families are not eligible to participate.

      Hello, this depends on your location, but the chat is at 2 p.m. ET. This would probably be between 9 p.m. and midnight in the Middle East. We will also post a summary afterward, for people unable to join the chat!

    With the incidents of diabetes growing, it’s important to stayed informed about what you can do to help prevent type 2 diabetes. For those of you that are looking for more information, the book Whole is a fantastic book written by a renowned scientist. Also the blog is good for women looking to change their bodies and how they see themselves!

    With diabetes rising it is so important to start taking notice of our diet and educating our children about the advantages of having a healthy diet and a healthy mind. It’s not hard to find delicious foods that are also healthy for you. For everyone looking for more information about foods and diabetes, the book “Whole” is a fantastic one. Also for women looking to improve their self image and health, is a fantastic blog.
