This American Diabetes Month®, America Gets CookingSM to Stop Diabetes®! Choosing a healthy, active lifestyle is one of the most important things you can do to manage or prevent diabetes. The good news is you don’t need to sacrifice taste to make a recipe diabetes-friendly!
To help spread the word, the American Diabetes Association will host a one-hour Twitter party on healthy cooking tips, easy ingredient swaps, recipe ideas and more. Joining the chat will be special guest Robyn Webb, MS, Diabetes Forecast magazine food editor and award-winning cookbook author and culinary instructor.
Just follow @AmDiabetesAssn and @RobynWebb and use #AmericaGetsCooking on Twitter, Thursday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. ET.
Join our #AmericaGetsCooking Twitter chat and you could win a full-year digital subscription to Diabetes Forecast magazine!
At the end of the Twitter chat, special guest Robyn Webb will select her favorite #AmericaGetsCooking tweets from three (3) individual participants—the funnier or more creative, the better! Each winner will receive 12 digital issues of Diabetes Forecast magazine, the Diabetes Forecast app, as well as the “anytime, anywhere” digital version that you can access via your smartphone, tablet or computer.
To be eligible, you must tweet at least one question or comment using the hashtag #AmericaGetsCooking during the Twitter chat, 2 to 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014. While you may tweet as much as you like, each participant is only eligible to receive one (1) prize.
Winners will be notified via Twitter and asked to provide their names, mailing addresses and email addresses via Twitter Direct Message. American Diabetes Association staff and their families are not eligible to participate.
