February is American Heart Month! Did you know there is a strong link between diabetes and heart disease? In fact, two out of three people with diabetes die from heart disease or stroke, also called cardiovascular disease.

The good news is, there are treatments. To learn more, please join the American College of Cardiology and the American Diabetes Association for a special Twitter chat on the connection between diabetes and heart disease.

Leading the chat will be two experts: Dr. Nathan Wong of the University of California-Irvine, and Dr. Robert Ratner, Chief Scientific and Medical Officer for the American Diabetes Association.

To join the chat—and get your own questions answered!—tune in to #DiabetesHeart on Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 1 to 2 p.m. ET. Please also be sure to follow @CardioSmart and @AmDiabetesAssn.
