Since launching the movement to Stop Diabetes®, we at the American Diabetes Association have heard countless stories of courage, love and resilience that are a testament to how our volunteers, advocates and supporters are coming together to Stop Diabetes. One goal of this blog is to share these stories with you.
Another goal of this blog is to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what the Association does on a daily basis to fulfill its mission: To prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of all people living with diabetes. Our staff’s dedication – combined the stories that provide them with inspiration through the day – is a critical part of the Stop Diabetes movement.
Through this blog, we also hope to educate readers about diabetes-related topics that are on their minds – education being crucial for awareness, prevention and management.
We recognize that the Stop Diabetes movement is built on relationships and understanding what it means to live with diabetes, from frustrations and fears to friendships and triumphs. We hope this blog will act as window for you into the role of the Association in this movement. Let us know how we’re doing – email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
